Executive Chef Sara Garrant

Sara Garrant grew up in Southcentral Alaska in a close-knit community of commercial salmon fishermen, where she developed her "make it happen" work ethic. Summers spent cooking with her mom for fishing crews inspired her culinary passion. After graduating high school, Sara pursued pastry studies at Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa, Canada, but quickly found her calling on the savory side of the kitchen.

Sara’s career began in Phoenix, where she honed her skills under Chef Chris Curtiss at Noca, gaining a deep respect for local, sustainable, and seasonal ingredients. She expanded her expertise at Addison in San Diego and later helped open Isabella’s Kitchen. Sara joined Bourbon Steak Scottsdale in 2013, eventually transferring to Miami as Senior Sous Chef at Michael Mina 74. In 2017, she became Executive Chef at Bourbon Steak Scottsdale.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys painting, music, and spending time with her Jack Russell terrier, Kalgin, at local parks.
